Spring is slowly creeping in on us and our sheepskin boots and leather brogues are getting kicked to the back of our wardrobes in favour of spring/summer '12 most sought after summer flats. 

Nothing says comfort and spring like floral ballerina flats. Mina Shoes have out done them selves with these garden party inspired flats in the candy colours so popular this season.

Mina's step to longer lasting shoes

For all you lucky Mina owners out there we've nicked some great shoe care advice from the briliant brand. Check them out and make sure you follow them.

Take Care of your MINA inside and out. New shoes need special care to last longer. Impregnate your shoes before using them for the first time and periodically thereafter. Here's a guide on how to treat your shoes based on its material.

LEATHER
Brush off dirt with a shoe brush, use leather cleaner on stubborn stains.

SUEDE, NUBUCK
Use a suede brush, sanding block and specially designed detergent. Grind the extra spots, salt stripes and bright areas.

TEXTILE
Brush and clean with shampoo when necessary. Do not machinewash. Nurture.

LEATHER
Trim with shoe polish in a matching shade. This will improve the color, make the leather shiny, impregnate, nourish and restore appearance.

SUEDE,NUBUCK
Use special cream that restores and waterproofs. Then brush thesurface with a suede brush.

PROTECT
Always protect your shoes from dirt and moisture by impregnation.

LEATHER
Shoe impregnates to some extent, but even better protected against moisture is recommended to use impregnation spray. Repeat for extra weather protection.

SUEDE,NUBUCK
Use waterproofing spray, let dry and then brush up the ragged surface with a suedebrush. Repeat for extra good results.

TEXTILE
Spray a thin layer of waterproofing spray. Let it dry and repeat for extra good results.

PATENT LEATHER, SYNTHETIC RUBBER
Do not use waterproofing spray on these material"

LatteMama needs to meet people

Yes, LatteMama is an online retail store, and yes, our customers are based worldwide and through a couple of clicks you can order the most fabulous children's clothes and have it at your doorstep within days. We could technically hide behind the screen, but we've gotten to know so many great people through Twitter, Facebook and e-mail we just had to get out and meet you all. LatteMama isn't all about children's fashion, but also childhood fun. We might not be as young as our children, or even as dextrous but we can still have the same fun they do. The afternoon was lovely, and we're looking forward to future events. Once again, a big welcome to spring, Mini Rodini, Mina Shoes and Slugs and Snails and to all our new customers and friends. An even bigger thank you goes out to Emma. S, Fika, Pamper n Play, Mina Shoes and Natalia our illustrator for providing us with great giveaways and our guests with wonderufl goodybags to take home. Ever wondered why more shoes don't have cute kittens on them? Or why watermelon never was an option as a colour scheme for your pumps? We have, but finally someone has read our minds and made it happen. LatteMama loves it when there are so many fantastic, creative and colourful ideas roaming around, but even more when they come true. MinaShoes is the new Swedish brand created by the wonderful Linda Gullberg. The shoes are for young fashionistas and they express fun, confidence and childhood.

Just like LatteMama Mina is all about "expressing children's creativity and humour". The good news are the wonderful shoes will be available this february at LatteMama. We can't wait for the shoes to arrive, for now the only thing we can do is look at these fabulous pictures. What do you guys think about them?
