Please tell us a bit about your services as a stylist?
My personal services are aimed at busy style conscious parents.
"Turning children into mini fashionistas, bringing the perfect wardrobe to your door"
When the guilt ridden parent has been working all hours of the day all week, the last thing they want is to drag the kids to the stores to buy clothes at the weekends! Manic! A personal shopper and stylist is a blessing, someone who brings everything their child needs to their door, custom to their lifestyle, no stress, hassle free! Allowing weekends to be about family fun! I offer seasonal wardrobe, holiday wardrobe, and special occasion-wear styling as well as Interior design. I also do commercial projects, working with retailers and brands styling seasonal campaigns and Look-books etc.
How did you find your path to children styling?
I started working in fashion as a showroom assistant for a high end wholesale and distribution company, I then went on to designing Interiors for market properties. It was here I built up a client base and started personal styling clients workwear wardrobes. One day I was asked by a client to style their kids and that was it, I was hooked!
Which one is more fun? Fashion for you or for the kids?
Without a doubt, kids! I spend more on my kids than I do on myself!
How do you like to dress your son, is he giving his own input yet?
He wears whatever, he is not really fussed. Although he does kick off sometimes about a particular pair of loafers because they leave marks on his feet! I dress him in all different kinds of looks, depends on my mood and what he is doing, if he is at nursery then I put less effort in as (I am sure that every mother experiences) he comes home an absolute wreck!
My daughter however is not even 2 yet and she insists on wearing her wellies with everything! (at home nothing but!) I just go with it though, I think it's quite funny and adorable that she is expressing herself so young!
As a mother to a boy, what advice do you have for mothers who struggle finding stylish clothes for their sons?
It is true, there is a heck of a lot more available for girls! But there are some great finds out there for boys in the high street and designer wear, also there are some fab unisex brands. The childrenswear industry is growing so I don't think it will be too much of a problem for much longer!
What are your favorite finds in the baby fashion world?
Again there are lots of great unisex brands that concentrate on comfort as well as style, such as Indikidual and Beau Loves. On the high street Baby Gap and Zara Baby are always a winner. Designer brands, I love
Chloe and Paul Smith.
Do you think runway fashion inspires children's fashion at all, or is it the other way around?
Yeah absolutely, obviously the styles are designed to cater for children, but colours and fabrics etc all follow a similar trend.
What is your favourite SS2012 trend?
Colour blocking because it works so well with children! Also florals, neons and metallics are a favourite, but they will be back next Spring/Summer, hopefully it's a better one!
What do you predict will be the most popular one for AW 2012?
AW fashion is probably my favourite! Of course I do prefer the sunny weather but I just love winter fashion, I love furs, boots, scarfs, hats, gloves and in this country it's one trend that is here to stay! I think kids look so adorable all wrapped up for the cold weather, big coats, woolly hats and rosy cheeks!
What's your top wish list items from www.latte-mama.com?
I love the No Added Sugar Trapeze Jump-Suit, that's in a Liberty print too right? I also love the No Added Sugar Ovation dress.

Monday Mama
Twitter is a friend of ours, and we love it because it has the brilliant ability to find us great friends. One of them is the lovely Suki P. In the know blogger of the sleak and fun blog KidstyleJunkie. The fellow Swede is this weeks Monday Mama, and she gives us some great insight into blogging, fashion and motherhood.
Name: Suzanne Peters (writing as Suki P)
Location: North West London

You liken children's
clothing drugs and you're our pusher. Where does this
passion for fashion
come from?
I’m likening shopping to a drug. For as long as I can
remember, I have been into clothes. Experimenting as a kid and a teen with
relatively horrible results. Nonetheless, the obsession started young and has intensified
with age. Though hopefully, the results are better now!
Which one is more
fun? Fashion for you or for the kids?
I constantly pore over style magazines and blogs – I love
fashion. I don’t actually shop that much for myself (though my husband would
disagree with this point…). However, I
really love shopping for kids clothes – as do my kids. They run around shops,
picking things out and saying “mummy, is this cute?”
In fact, I used to sell kids clothes about 11 years ago.
Really funky labels that were not yet in the UK at the time like American
Outfitters and Petunia Picklebottom diaper bags. So I like to think I have a
good eye for what works.
You once told me your
mother is Swedish, how much of the Swedish culture
have you been brought
up with?
I spent all my summers there as a kid, wearing clogs,
picking wild blueberries and swimming naked! I got married in Sweden too.
Swedes are incredibly polite people, and that is something I'm very fussy about
and try super hard to install in my kids. That, and Swedish sweets like Plopp,
Skum Banan and Bilar. Very important!
Scandi culture is
very popular at the moment, and not the least when it
comes to fashion, why
do you think this is?
In recent years I think Scandi fashion has become world class.
It's all about clean lines, classic styles, layering and interesting prints. It’s
almost beyond trend – you can wear it season after season.
I mean look at Acne – LOVE IT! Also, COS is a favourite shop
of mine and to me epitomises Scandi-chic. I call it 'Poor Mans Marni' and it
had saved me a fortune over the years!
And for kids – Cloud Nine takes my breath away. So
beautiful.
How do you like to
dress your children, and are they giving their own
input yet?
As I have identical twins (age 5), my Number One style rule
is never to dress them the same and preferably not even similar. This is not only
because it makes me ill to see (!), but also psychologically it's very
important for them to look different to each other. AND it helps people tell
them apart too!
If we have a party or a lunch with friends, I like to have
some input into their outfits. Minnie is much fussier than Roxie so if I pick
two outfits, she selects from that. The rest of the time (which is most of the
time) I let them choose themselves. The fact is that I have built up a good
base selection in their wardrobe, so I don't need to worry too much about any
nightmare twee appliqué situations arising!
What are your favorite finds in the baby fashion world?
I have always loved Polarn o Pyret for classic baby gear.
And I have always liked the little known fact that as a mum of twins you get a
10% discount! I also think Next, Gap Baby, Zara Baby and H&M have SOME
incredible pieces. Sorry to be a stick in the mud but until kids are walking
and more toddlerish, I don't personally believe in buying them expensive
designer gear.
For slightly older kids - these designer brands give me
palpitations – Talc, Une Sardine a Rio, Little Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel
Enfant, ilovegorgeous, Miller, Kicokids, Marni and Cloud Nine.
Do you think runway
fashion inspires children's fashion at all, or is it
the other way around?
I definitely think runway collections inspire the kids
collections from a colour, texture and trend perspective. Though luckily with
kids clothes I don't really think it matters if you wear it a few seasons
later. Which is why sales time is so key! But I truly believe kids shouldn't
look like mini-me's, kids should dress like kids.
What is your
favourite SS2012 trend?
Sports styling. My staple uniform is leggings, trainers -
well, gym gear really. Not that I go particularly, I just like to make the
other mums think I do! My favourite purchase for my girls within this trend are
Feiyue hi-tops. I’m loving them.
What do you predict
will be the most popular one for AW 2012
My favourite trend is Punk Tech. A fusion of classic lines
with a rock edge – we’re talking zips, studs, skulls, pattern clash, distressed
denim, leather, strong colours. Attitude!
- I’m loving the retro pattern and colours of the Sture & Lisa Many Hearts onesie.
- The Life’s a Circus tee from No Added Sugar would look great with skinny jeans or chinos rolled up and baseball boots.
- I also love the No Added Sugar Assouline denim skirt. It’s a great shape. I tend to buy skirts small as I like them to look mini. It’s cuter.

Lets Get Rock n Roll

Retro rocker fashion has been all over our magazines for years, the Mods and Rockers era is beloved to many and it can been seen in the latest summer 2012 denim trends and laid back leather jackets.
We <3 the vintage rock princess vibe of this silver dress and zebra print leggings. The dress from No Added Sugar is versatile and will take any young lady from play time to party time in style and comfort.
With the weather also having taken a turn for the worse a splash of zebra print makes this outfit stand out with a multi-seasonal twist.

Bank Holiday Mama
Name: TheMiniPost
Location Shoreditch, East London
Twitter @TheMiniPost
Website/Blog theminipost.tumblr.com
Your blog is based in East London. What does this place mean to you?
Home. We have been living in East London for 10 years. Its been a really exciting place to be. We live on a lovely residential street. In fact it won best street for its decoration & bunting when Diana & Charles were married. Its a very typical EastEnd Victorian house which we gutted and made home. It is now brimming withbaby things which make it feel even more special.
You cover everything from places to be, food to eat and fashion. Did you always have an interest in clothes and trends even before becoming a mum?
YES! Without a doubt. Some of my earliest memories of clothes are of watching my Mum get all dressed up. I was totally fascinated by the whole process and preparation choosing an outfit; accessories, jewellery, hair, nails, perfume. I love that clothes help define an occasion and make it feel more special. It was inevitable that I ended up working in the world of fashion and beauty.
You've been our Monday Mama once before when K was very very young, how do you think your motherhood and even your style has changed in the past couple of months?
As a Mum you no longer have the luxury of spending ages deciding what to wear. Know your style and embrace trends that compliment it. Key pieces like a tailored jacket and a great bag sharpen practical jeans & tee. I love love love Stella McCartney for her signature tailored jackets and Falabella bags.
How would you describe your little girls style?
She wears lots of cool vintage baby clothes that my mum kept from the 70s & 80s. She too has a penchant for Stella McCartney Kids!
Ever catch yourself matching?
Yes! Sometimes unintentional. Other days when I have time to think about it, I might plan that 'we match' :) Especially for a special occasion.
What are your favorite finds in the baby fashion world?
I am hunting for a dress for her to wear to a very special wedding in a few week. And I am really smitten with the dresses from http://www.poppychildren.co.uk - they are so sweet and I think the kind of dress a little girl will remember forever.
Do you think runway fashion inspires children's fashion at all, or is it the other way around?
Kids clothes can be more romantic & whimsical than mainstream trends. This is what makes smaller independent brands more interesting and gives thema distinct voice in a busy marketplace. It's hard to compete against the biggies like Zara kids & Gap.
What is your favourite SS2012 trend?
It has to be the ice cream colour palette. I loved the suburban housewives in Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands and it reminds me of that. I'm wearing a lot of lick smacking pastels at the moment. Sometimes punching it up with a hit of neon.
What do you predict will be the most popular one for AW 2012?
For me I will retire my colourful ice cream palette and focus on a more autumnal palette inspired by traditional tweeds. For autumn I also love animal inspired pieces, lile a fur collar or a fabulous vintage fur coat.
What's your top wish list items from www.latte-mama.com?
It would have to be the "Sunbird' dress for its great print. The LOL T-shirt for its cool message & typography. And lastly the 'Trapeze JumpSuit' cause its just so cool.

The jump-suit is the craze which makes play time or jump time comfortable and practical.
This little floral number is that and more. A gorgeous green and white print, an easy on central zip, shearing waist and elastic to leg cuffs makes it beautifully straightforward allowing full attention to the adventure in hand.
100% cotton, and 1% elastane, makes this soft and comfy for your child's skin.

Monday Mama: MrsAgathaMarple
Monday Mama
Kids, Fashion and Blogging with some of the Nets most famous Latte Mama's
Monday Mama is back with an all new crowd of wonderful Mum's from across Britain and Europe, giving us an exclusive look into the latest in kids fashion and blogging straight from those that matter.
This week we have the pleasure of MrsAgathaMarple,
a mother, wife and experienced blogger from Finland.
She gave birth to her adorable son in spring 2008, which is when it all started. She went on to start her very own blog shortly after in October 2008 and she loves blogging still.
Name: Sari
Blog: MrsAgathaMarple
We have to ask Mrs
Agatha, where did the name for your blog come from?
Well, I'm a huge fan of Agatha Christie, love her detective
stories and my favourite is Jane Marple. So when I thought about a name for my
blog that would stand out, MrsAgatha was the coolest name I could think of and
the address also has Marple in it =)
You have been
blogging for years now, have you noticed any changes in the children’s fashion
blogging world?
Yes, there are more sponsored blogs, brands and businesses
have realized how easy it is to advertise via blogs.
What's it like
blogging in two languages at the same time, and do you ever feel like skipping
one?
I feel like skipping all the time! :D It's quite hard to
write in 2 languages but I can't skip Finnish since most of my readers are from
Finland. And I can't skip English as I've noticed an increasing amount of
readers outside Finland =)
How has your sons
style changed since becoming older, do you even get to decide his outfit anymore?
When he was a baby I bought him very colourful retro-style
clothes (brands like Ej Sikke Lej and SmÄfolk were my favourites then). But
nowadays he dresses more like me, black and grey being the most used colours
with some more colourful things too. I'm a lucky mama and he lets me to choose
his clothes still! :D
He really doesn't care about what he wears, he's happy if
the clothes are comfortable.
Scandinavian fashion
has become very popular lately. Are there any must have Finnish brands out
there, and how would you define Finnish fashion?
I recommend checking out brands MinuMinu and Aarrekid, those
are the best Finnish brands for kids. Also Nosh Organics is cool.
Almost all Finnish brands use organic/recycled materials for
the clothes and the designs are quite simple but feature a few unique twists.
Most of the children's brands in Finland are retro-inspired since that kind of
style is a big hit at the moment in Finland.
What has been your
best fashion find in the past?
For myself: Swedish Hasbeens-shoes and for the boy:
Vans-shoes (can you tell that I love shoes ;D)
What is your
favourite trend for S/S 2012?
I love the colourful jeans!
What do you predict
will be the most popular one for AW 2012?
I'd say sequins and warm jumpers.

LatteMama needs to meet people
Yes, LatteMama is an online retail store, and yes, our customers are based worldwide and through a couple of clicks you can order the most fabulous children's clothes and have it at your doorstep within days. We could technically hide behind the screen, but we've gotten to know so many great people through Twitter, Facebook and e-mail we just had to get out and meet you all. The afternoon was lovely, and we're looking forward to future events. Once again, a big welcome to spring, Mini Rodini, Mina Shoes and Slugs and Snails and to all our new customers and friends. An even bigger thank you goes out to Emma. S, Fika, Pamper n Play, Mina Shoes and Natalia our illustrator for providing us with great giveaways and our guests with wonderufl goodybags to take home.
